The green power source!

We must be aware that nowadays we are having a very unstable and crazy weather. There is no fixed and perhaps scheduled weather that we usually had in the past. Nowadays world is going crazy and we can see that there are many extreme weather conditions everywhere. In some places, there are extreme hot weathers; and in other part, the cold is unbearable. Do you know that this condition can be worse if we keep on doing what we usually do now? Those strange weather anomalies happen because of the global warming. Global warming itself is a process where the heat of the sun cannot be reflected back to the sky and trapped inside the earth by the greenhouse gasses. This greenhouse gas is the cause of the whole weather problem and this gas is caused when we burn the fossil fuel.

Since fossil fuel is like the main fuel for the earth, people are heavily relying on this. Perhaps if people are still carefully use the fossil fuel, so it will not cause excessive green house gas, it still can be tolerated, but nowadays people are burning fossil fuel thoughtlessly. Car needs fossil fuel, electric plant needs it too, and even factories in the world are using the same fuel too. If we do not stop this activity, the world will come to an end soon. Actually there are many scientists that already worry about this and try to find the good solution for it. There are many different solutions, and one of them is by creating an alternative source of energy. The energy used is the sun. Sun is a super big source of energy which its energy will not run out easily. Just by using the solar panel to catch the heat of the sun, the heat is then transformed into some other kind of energy.

Solar panel can be used in many places; you can use it in a home basis to produce your own energy. Let`s say one every one hundred houses adopt this way, it is sure something better for the earth will happen. The greater effect will happen if the solar panel is applied in the bigger basis, like in a factory or in a city. But bigger thing will never happen without smaller things, so before thinking about those big efforts to change the world, we can start to do it with our self. Start using the solar panel instead of any environmentally dangerous energy source to charge many of your handheld devices. This way is cheaper and actually easier to be applied.

Why Go Green?
A growing body of research shows how a living environment can have profound physical and mental health outcomes, especially for minority families and low-income communities (Environmental Health Perspectives, May 2005). Lowincome people and minorities are more likely to live in worse environmental conditions and experience greater rates of disease, limited access to health care and other health disparities. Green development is a holistic approach that provides integrated solutions to housing, health and environmental challenges.

What is the problem?
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the world population is expanding at a mind-boggling rate. The world reached 1 billion people in 1800; 2 billion by 1922; and over 6 billion by 2000. It is estimated that the population will swell to over 9 billion by 2050. That means that if the world's natural resources were evenly distributed, people in 2050 will only have 25% of the resources per capita that people in 1950 had. The world has a fixed amount of natural resources - some of which are already depleted. So as population growth greatly strains our finite resources, there are fewer resources available. If we intend to leave our children and grandchildren with the same standard of living we have enjoyed, we must preserve the foundation of that standard of living. We save for college educations, orthodontia, and weddings, but what about saving clean air, water, fuel sources and soil for future generations?

Some of the greatest threats to future resources come from things we throw away everyday. Household batteries and electronics often contain dangerous chemicals that may, if sent to a local landfill, leak through the bottom barrier and pollute the groundwater. This can contaminate everything from the soil in which our food grows, to the water which will eventually come out of aquifers and into our tap water. Many of these chemicals cannot be removed from the drinking water supply, nor from the crops that are harvested from contaminated fields. The risks to human health are tremendous. Throwing away items that could be recycled diminishes energy, water and natural resources that could be saved by recycling.

Did you know...
  • For every ton of paper that is recycled, the following is saved: 7,000 gallons of water; 380 gallons of oil; and enough electricity to power an average house for six months.
  • You can run a TV for six hours on the amount of electricity that is saved by recycling one aluminum can.
  • By recycling just one glass bottle, you save enough electricity to power a 100-watt bulb for four hours.

The more we throw away, the more space we take up in landfills. When a landfill becomes a landfull, taxpayers have to build a new one. The less we throw away, the longer our landfills will last. The amount of taxpayer money we save by extending the longevity of our landfills is an important community benefit.

You can use it for Lunch Box Warmer, Mini Fan, LED Light, Mini Speaker, MP3 Player with build-in speaker, night lamp, table lamp, FM radio, charging bluetooth headset, charging PSP, charging Nitendo DS, charging hand phone, charging PDA, charging AA or AAA battery, Air Ionizer and Air Purifier.

My budget is less then RM200 for the solar panel, what can I do with the solar panel?
You can use it for Air Humidifier Purifier and Air Ionizer.

Do you help on setting up small project which is less then RM1,000 ?
Yes, we do small project for anyone who is interested as low as RM1,000. Just sign up our Solar workshop for help or advice.

Possible to use the solar panel to charge my portable Vacuum Cleaner?
Yes, you can either modify it yourself or you can also attend our solar workshop to learn how to do it yourself.

I had a AC table lamp using 18W fluorescent tube, can I replace it with LED ?
Yes, of course. you can either modify it yourself or you can also attend our solar workshop to learn how to do it yourself. Suggest to replace the tube with LED, and install a rechargeable battery with a DC jack to be charge via the solar panel. This will make it become portable table lamp.

I need a solar power portable fan ?
We do provide solution on how to build one yourself. Very useful when you had a power failure at your house or office.

I would like to learn more about LED ?
We do provide an hour introduction on LED at RM80 only.

I would like to learn more about Solar Power ?
We do provide an hour introduction on Solar Power at RM80 only.

I would like to setup a solar panel and LED myself in my own house. Do you provide such training ?
Yes, we do provide a 4 hours work shop on how to do this at RM280 only.
